'Culver Down'
 
The memory of a view on the north coast of the Isle of White, getting lost and finding my way.
 
• Acrylic, Pastel and Charcoal on cradled gesso board, varnished with a satin finish. In a solid beech frame.
• In frame 45 x 45cm.
 
My works are both literal and part memory part feeling. Living on the Isle of Purbeck I am constantly walking around the heathlands and nature reserves. I take pictures, sketches and note the sensations that this beautiful and magical place creates in and for me. In some way I am trying to pass this experience on to the viewer - to see and feel it through my eyes.
