Every day I pass Corfe Castle, this great broken structure towering over the small village. It is both a constant reminder of our history and a reassurance in it's seeming permanence.
 
My works are both literal and part memory part feeling. Living on the Isle of Purbeck I am constantly walking around the heathlands and nature reserves. I take pictures, sketches and note the sensations that this beautiful and magical place creates in and for me. In some way I am trying to pass this experience on to the viewer - to see and feel it through my eyes.
